Color Blind Hair
Removal...
Safe hair removal of all colors (including white,
grey, red and blonde) — from all skin types, including tanned skin — is
now a reality – thanks to Elos™ technology. The number of necessary
treatments depends on hair color and skin type, and the part of the
face or body to be treated. Usually, four to six treatments are required
for substantial hair reduction. Light hair will require a higher
number of treatments.
How does laser hair removal differ from electrolysis and is
the treatment permanent?
The main difference between this technology and
the traditional method known as electrolysis, is that lasers can
treat multiple hair follicles at one time, no longer requiring the
need to identify and probe each individual hair follicle, as is done
with electrolysis.
Laser hair removal is relatively new technology.
The FDA, however, has recently provided clearance that indicates
lasers can achieve a permanent reduction in hair growth based on
clinical tests with patients who have hair reduction two years after
treatment completion.
Choosing a solution for hair removal can be a confusing
and difficult decision. Many methods and technologies promise
the best results. We have found that the Elos ™ technology
delivers excellent results. Hair grows in cycles and subsequent treatments
are necessary to treat the follicles that are lying dormant below
the surface of the skin. These dormant follicles contain little pigment
and are often not affected by the first treatment.
Laser hair removal is the most practical, least
painful, most efficient, and probably least expensive professional
method available to remove unwanted hair.
What does the treatment feel like?
Each pulse of energy feels like a slight sting or
pinch, similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anesthesia
is required and most people tolerate the treatment well. You
may experience some slight reddening or local swelling at the treatment
site, but this typically goes away within hours.
How does Elos ™ work?
Elos ™ (electro-optical synergy) uses
a unique combination of radio frequency and light. Using two
energies instead of one means more effective results for you.
