Get Ready for Spring: Refresh, Renew, Rejuvenate
March 1, 2010

Winter is on its way out. As we say goodbye to heavy overcoats and mittens, and get ready to emerge from hibernation, now is the time to think about getting ready for swimsuit season. (You can’t wait until July 4th!)

Starting this month, add 10 minutes of targeted exercise to your daily regimen to help tone your arms and legs. And consider making a simple change to your diet, such as eliminating one slice of bread each day, to reduce your calorie intake and painlessly lose a pound or two a month.

In addition to regular exercise, make the right diet choices. Eat grapes, berries, broccoli, tomatoes and sweet potatoes to get beneficial antioxidants. The healthy fats in almonds, salmon, avocados and olive oil can keep your skin moist and glowing. Now also is the time to think about refreshing your skin for Spring.

But don’t let your skin regimen stop at the neck. The area between your chin and your cleavage deserves attention. To have your neck and your chest looking its best for spring, it’s time to refresh, renew and rejuvenate your skin. Revitalize your decolletage by eliminating sun spots and freckles. An in-office peel with alpha-hydroxy acid or microdermabrasion can even out skin tones and remove layers of old, dead skin.
