ABOUT DR. POLLARD
After several years in practice in the Indianapolis area, she settled in Philadelphia in 1996. Through her years of practice, Dr. Pollard has become one of Philadelphia’s leading Plastic Surgeons in breast surgery, both cosmetic and reconstructive, body contouring , facial rejuvenation and women’s health issues. She is the Associate Dean for Minority Affairs at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Pollard is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. In addition, she is an active member of the highly selctive American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She was the Chairwoman of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery section of the National Medical Association. She has served on many committees of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is a member of the Penn Towne chapter of the Links, Inc. and
serves on the Board of Directors of the Ardmore Rotary Club and the
Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Art Alliance.

Dr. Pollard, daughter and granddaughter of physicians, was an honors
student at Smith College. Subsequently, she received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Pharmacy, at the University of Wisconsin. Her medical
degree was earned at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee,
where she was class valedictorian. She completed her general surgery
residency and served as chief resident at Georgetown University Medical
Center, Washington, DC. Her plastic surgery residency was completed,
thereafter, at Indiana University.
